Part 3. Useful Phrases

How to post your answers.

1. Copy the questions from a to d.

2. Paste them in the reply box.

3. Re-write/copy each useful phrase.

4. Place each of them under the corresponding question.

5. Check your answers and click 'Add Reply'.

For e.g.

a. To say ‘You don’t like the food’, what phrases we can use?

  • It's just that..... [....]
  • .........[.....]

b. To say ‘The wrong food arrives’, ......[....]

  • xxx.......[.......]

Part 4. Useful Phrases

The following phrases are used to make a complain in a restaurant.  Write the answers to the following questions by re-writing the phrases under each question.

 

Could I choose something else?

I asked for no tomatoes and this dish has got tomatoes in it.

The vegetables are a bit raw.

It’s just too spicy for me.

Could you warm this for me?

This isn’t what I ordered.

I ordered the vegetarian pie, not the meat one.

We need to be somewhere in half an hour.

Could you warm this for me?

The side dishes haven’t come yet.

It’s completely cold in the middle.

Could you check on the order for me?

Is this dish supposed to be spicy?

Could I speak to the manager?
